Rewind Band — Classic Rock and Blues

Rock & blues
with a horn section

Sixties soul through nineties rock — covers we've played for forty years, originals of our own, and the odd mashup nobody asked for. Americana, blues and rock out of Leesburg, Virginia. Yes, there's a tuba.

We ain't famous — but we all have a good time

Three-plus hours of material spanning the sixties to the two-thousands. Tell us the room and we'll build the set around it.

Who we are

The story

We've been playing this music since it came out. Some of us learned these songs off vinyl the first time around, and we've been arguing about the right tempo for “Mustang Sally” ever since.

We started out as Red White & Blues — a Loudoun County bar band with a hand-painted pallet flag for a backdrop and a standing invitation to play anywhere with a patio and a power outlet. Breweries, backyards, barbecue joints, a Fourth of July stage in Purcellville, and one very memorable United Airlines Fantasy Flight at Dulles.

Same players, same songs, same bad jokes between numbers. New name: Rewind Band. Good guitars, a horn section that actually punches, and six decades of material we're still finding new ways to bend.

The old site put it best, and we're not going to improve on it: Loudoun County's premier rock and blues band with a tuba. That's Jody, who also handles sax and flute. Nobody else is making that claim.

We ain't famous — but we all have a good time
